Red Reckoning

Wolfinwool · Red Reckoning

Did the red save me Or will it be my drowning? Like an echo of touch, It is responsible for my being— But I don’t know if it Will be my undoing.

What made it red? The clay from which we Are all formed? Or is the clay A byproduct Of your saturating Personality?

Ouroboros, Infinity, Sisyphean task— Always up, Always again, Always.

If all waters are The same waters, Why do some taste So much sweeter, Embrace with more Tenderness, More beauty?

Life from the silt, Love from the wet, Crust, dry and hard, Saving the future. Making me wait.

In the summer drought And the spring rain, The fiery pulse Of our world Destroys and builds Simultaneously.
